After graduating with a First Class degree from Cambridge University, Gideon spent the first part of his career working in broadcasting and news media with roles at the BBC, ITV, The New York Times, and Sky News. His experience in the media laid the foundation for his deep understanding of storytelling and audience engagement.

Gideon’s journey into tech began at Skype (sold to Microsoft) in 2008, where he spent ten years brokering global partnerships and developing new product strategies for the comms giant, including early innovations in AI chatbots. He also worked across other Microsoft business units, including Windows.

Following his tenure at Skype, Gideon founded Transatlantic, a communications and PR agency specialising in supporting early-stage VC-backed startups. One of the leading providers in its field, Transatlantic has a diverse global client base ranging from pre-Seed companies to world famous Unicorns like Canva and Faire. At Transatlantic, Gideon leverages his extensive experience to help clients craft compelling narratives and establish a strong media presence, and provides strategic counsel to founders on a range of marketing and communications issues. He also supports a small clientele of celebrities and media personalities, working with them to develop strategic partnerships and extend their personal brand reach and influence.
