Mandeep is a Venture Partner at Hoxton Ventures. He was previously CEO and co-founder at Trouva, the SaaS-enabled marketplace backed by Octopus, Index Ventures and LocalGlobe, and one of Europe’s 40 fastest-growing companies (FT1000), before being acquired by a FTSE-listed strategic in an all-cash transaction in 2022. He’s an active angel investor in over 50 startups in Europe and the US, with a particular focus on B2B marketplaces and SaaS/AI-enabled software. He is also an Advisor at Entrepreneur First, part of the SeedCamp Expert Collective and a member of the International Board of Amnesty International.
Before setting off on his entrepreneurial journey, Mandeep was an investor at BC Partners, one of Europe’s largest Private Equity funds and the lead investors in the likes of Chewy.com, CarTrawler, Multiplan, Amadeus, Foxtons & IntelSat, and studied Physics / Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. Having first learnt to code on his family’s BBC Micro as a child, he set up his first web business as a teenager from his bedroom in Lancashire, and remains a keen Preston North End fan to this day.
