Rishabh graduated from BITS Pilani and Ashoka University in India just as the region saw a surge in early stage startups and venture capital. After co-founding his university’s angel network and leading the first check in GreyOrange (now Series D), a robotics and AI startup focused on warehousing, he joined the company as an early employee and Chief of Staff. In addition to GTM and fundraising, he recruited its early engineering team on a quirky tech stack (Erlang, Riak).
This experience made him co-found Belong, an HR tech platform focused on finding passive talent. Belong raised a Series B from Sequoia, worked with 30+ Fortune 500s, and had Rishabh shuttling between Bangalore and the Bay Area. (He also, regrettably, featured in a Fortune 40 under 40 list. Yes, he’s seen the memes.)
During the pandemic, he moved to London to lead marketing at Appsmith, a fast-growing open source devtool backed by Insight, Accel and Canaan. He also ramped up angel investing, backing 25+ startups across enterprise software, fintech, SaaS, and AI as an angel and scout for multiple funds.
Outside work, Rishabh is an avid quizzer, rabid karaoke fan, community builder and plays cricket for the Kensington and Chelsea Cricket Club. He’s younger than he looks!
