Rob Ludwig

Chief Operating Officer

Rob is the Chief Operating Officer for Hoxton Ventures. He supports the team in deal execution, firm strategy, compliance, legal, investor relations and fund administration. Outside of the office he is an avid poker player and a certified (European) football referee.

Prior to joining Hoxton, Rob was a Vice President and Senior Counsel at Deutsche Bank. While at Deutsche Bank, Rob supported the development and roll out of internal procedures and governance policies for private market equity placement transactions. Transactions he acted on included the initial public offerings of Aston Martin, Halyk Bank and Saudi Aramco, as well as the aborted hostile offer by Non-Standard Finance for Provident Financial.

Previously, Rob spent nine years as an Associate and Managing Associate in Linklaters’ U.S. Securities team in London. He acted on numerous capital formation transactions across an array of financial instruments. His representative transactions include Lloyds Bank’s £20 billion capital raise, the IPO of Saga plc, an equity placing to finance the acquisition of Menulog by Just-Eat, the first-ever international public debt offering by the Republic of Ethiopia, the re-entry to the sovereign public debt market by the Arab Republic of Egypt and the issuance of high-yield notes by Global University Systems.

Rob holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. He did his undergraduate degree in European History and Economics at Washington and Lee University.

Rob is a UK/US dual national.
